Aegis energy hub

Aegis Energy chose Cloudics to power 30 clean multi-energy hubs across the UK by 2030

Aegis Energy, the UK company behind a bold new vision for commercial transport, has partnered with Cloudics, the next-generation energy management platform from Astro Baltics, to operate its upcoming network of 30 clean, multi-energy refuelling hubs nationwide.

These new hubs, specifically designed for commercial fleets, will offer a combination of electric charging, HVO, hydrogen, and bio-CNG, along with features such as bookable charging bays, round-the-clock security, and thoughtful driver amenities. It’s all part of Aegis’s mission to support the UK’s journey to net zero while keeping the transport industry moving.

Connecting clean transport with cloud innovation

To help manage it all, Aegis chose Cloudics as the innovative behind-the-scenes platform. Cloudics will digitally tie everything into one, from real-time operations and payments to customer interaction and future service upgrades.

“We’re delighted to be working with the innovative team at Cloudics to deliver the next generation of technology for commercial vehicle fleets,” said Eddie Davidson, Head of Technology at Aegis Energy. “Transparency, reliability and simplicity are at the core of enabling the energy transition—that’s exactly what our partnership with Cloudics is delivering.”

Cloudics is a fully cloud-based platform that centralises core services—such as site management and logistics, charge point operation, and mobile payments—into a single, unified ecosystem. It’s built to adapt, making it easy for Aegis to integrate new technologies, work with partners, and evolve quickly in a fast-growing sector.

The power of Cloudics comes from a modern, streamlined, cloud-native codebase, linked to a dedicated layer of APIs and websockets. This helps to prevent vendor-lock-in, a challenge faced by many operators of traditional retail site-systems today. Leveraging the Cloudics platform opens up a world of possibilities, and vastly improves time-to-market for value-add services.

Cloudics supporting the bold vision

Drivers will also benefit from a seamless user experience through the white-labelled Aegis mobile app powered by Cloudics. Through the app, they can locate commercial vehicle hubs, book charging slots, pay on the go, and eventually enjoy extras like ordering food or earning rewards. Aegis will benefit from the ability to choose from any best-in-class technology provider, knowing that they can easily plug them into the Cloudics platform.

“We’re proud to support Aegis Energy’s bold vision for clean transport infrastructure in the UK,” said Gary Szendzielarz, Head of Business Development at Cloudics. “This partnership is a testament to how cloud technology can transform the energy retail landscape—making it smarter, faster, and more responsive to change.”

Aegis Energy’s initial five-station network will be completed by 2027, with the first location scheduled to open in 2026.
